VITA

 

Pascal Sangl is a freelance artist working in Germany, Holland and Switzerland.
 
During his studies in Amsterdam he took masterclasses by i.a. Ohad Naharin, Liat Waysbort and Heidi Vierthaler. He visited and trained with the company at Staatstheater Mainz and Ping Chong + Company in New York. He did an internship at Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.

Sangl has been a guest dancer at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theater Bonn and the Vaduz Classic Festival in Liechtenstein. He has worked with freelance choreographers such as i.a. Jesus de Vega/ICKamsterdam, Edan Gorlicki and Cie. Willi Dorner. Currently he's part of the ensemble Instant PIG // Stuttgart and a regular performer in their improvisation format  ,,Saal Frei".

Thanks to Tanzszene Baden-Württemberg Sangl's choreographic work ,,Jukebox 2.0" is currently presented as part of the outreach program Tanz in der Fläche.
In early 2020 he supported the Junge Bühne Sindelfingen as choreographic director for staging Falk Richter's piece "Small Town Boy". The production was nominated for the German amateur theater prize AMARENA.
His most prominent work so far is "Garden of Others". This dance short film has been shot at the beautiful baroque gardens of Schloss Schwetzingen, screened at multiple international festivals and received two audience awards.

↓ teacher & cultural educator

 

Pascal Sangl is offering workshops & classes in contemporary dance, improvisation & physical theater for all levels. 
During various arts in education programs in schools Sangl has created pieces for and with the students of the Neurottschule in Ketsch, the Albert-Schweitzer-Realschule Böblingen and the International School of Stuttgart e.V., Campus Sindelfingen.
